Exercise's benefits at a cellular level through autophagy
Here is another NYTimes article that highlights a recent paper in Nature showing a link in mouse models between exercise and rates of autophagy (cellular housecleaning they call it by analogy). Definitely worth a look.
Very interesting article. I hope they do more research on autophagy in humans to see if it could have some effect on the benefits different people get from exercise.
