Licking is Good for Ants

Since we were talking about immune responses this past Wednesday, here is a immune system related article.  It is pretty interesting. Whenever an ant is sick, the other ants will lick it.  By doing this, they are exposed to a low amount of the pathogen that will cause them to have an immune response, but it is too low for them to get sick.  They are basically vaccinating themselves.
