Brain Activity Breaks DNA

This isn't a sure thing yet, but this experiment points to new ways to possibly treat Alzheimer's. Very interesting read, and it talks about double-stranded DNA breaks in neurons that happen on purpose.

  1. Very very interesing. We are slowly being able to peice together the puzzle that is AD. I am not sure I agree with the antiepileptic drugs as therapy, but I do think it is a good starting point to deal with the new information regarding the neuronal DNA breaks.
