I thought this article was really neat in which it explains that ethnicity could play a significant role in how an antibody operates and responds. If this is the case we would definitely have to modify medicines to target a specific ethnicity or individual rather than a population as a whole. This is very useful information in terms of better treating individuals rather than whole populations. If this research proves to be something to pursue as far as with vaccinations and the like, treatments may end up being very cumbersome. However, if the differences in immunity and antibodies can be strengthened, maybe we could eradicate some diseases indigenous to certain ethnic populations.
